Enterprises is a designer and maker of high-end native
handwoven fibers in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines.
Its raw materials are silk, buntal, abaca, and raffia. Established
in April 2002, Kindelen won the "Best Product Collection"
award for gifts and housewares category during the Mindanao
Trade Expo in Davao City in August
2002. Kindelen also participated in the Cebu
International Furniture and Furnishings Exhibition (Cebu
X) in 2003 and 2004.
  Managed
by industrial designer Clara Marie Asuncion Q. Gonzales
Elizaga, Kindelen coordinates with Salay Handmade
Paper, Inc. and government agencies to produce unique,
handmade products.
The
vision of Kindelen is to help provide livelihood
to rural communities, to teach people how to create
products that can generate income, identity and pride. |
